Treat a special someone to an unforgettable countryside tour in an open-cockpit Gyrocopter from our base at Barton Airfield, Manchester. 
 
On arrival your experience will begin with a video presentation covering the history and flying abilities of gyrocopters followed by a briefing conducted by the pilot on all safety aspects of the flight including take-off, in-flight and landing procedures. You'll be helped in the aircraft and kitted out with a flying suit, gloves and a helmet including a communication system. The flight takes approx. 30 minutes (from engine start to engine stop) covering phenomenal local landmarks including Chorley Lakes, Lord Lever Japanese Gardens and Rivington Pike on Winter Hill. A spectacular sight from the air! Upon completion of the experience you will receive a personalised flight certificate and have the opportunity to purchase your framed photograph.
 
Flight experiences are conducted between April and October every year. The experience can be taken at any time that suits the recipient and the flying school and is within operating limits including weather, airfield conditions and aircraft availability.
