Flight Experience and Trial Lesson Voucher Purchase

  1.         All Pleasure Flights / Trial Lessons are flown between April and October each year. Dates and days are                            determined by North West Gyro.

  2.         All vouchers relating to the above (1.1) are valid for 12 months of flight season (not calendar months)

  3.         All Trial Lessons/ Pleasure Flights vouchers must be registered with North West Gyro within 12 calendar months          of date purchased or the first flight season.

  4.         Registrations and Bookings are taken Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm on 0161 788 8489.

  5.         If your flight is cancelled due to poor weather or unforeseen circumstances by North West Gyro, customers &              voucher holders must contact our booking office to re-schedule Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am              and 5pm.

  6.         If flights are cancelled by North West Gyro and the voucher is due to expire the validity of the voucher will be                extended as determined by North West Gyro.

  7.         The flying voucher will become void if not booked for another flight date within any extended period allowed by          North West Gyro.

  8.         Unless otherwise specified each voucher entitles one person (weight restrictions apply) to a flight from City                  Airport Manchester or from the other venues North West Gyro operates from, either for the length specified or            as a credit towards a longer flight (Tickets are transferable between aircraft types and distances, however extra            charges will apply)

  9.         Pilots/students/passengers are to arrive at least 30 minutes before the flight time to check in at the information          office, with your flight voucher.

  10.         The person entitled to a flight experience is the voucher holder. It is the responsibility of the voucher holder to             keep the voucher safe, and to redeem it at the time of flight in the information office.

  11.          North West Gyro cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged vouchers.

  12.          If no voucher is presented to North West Gyro at the time of flight, the flight will be cancelled and the voucher              void.

Cancellation Policy

  1.         A minimum of 48 HOURS notice is required for the cancellation of a booking so as not to incur a cancellation                charge of £34.00 + V.A.T. which will be charged to the voucher holder, pilot, student or purchasers account.                    Please note that a no-show fee is charged at £50.00 + V.A.T. Voucher no show will deem the voucher used. 

  2.         Due to weather conditions or technical reasons North West Gyro reserves the right to cancel any flight or flights.

  3.         All cancellations affected by point 2.2 will need to re-arrange dates and times with North West Gyro (see 1.5).

  4.        Cancellations should be made via e-mail quoting your voucher number to  info@flightacademy.co.uk or by                   telephone on 0161 788 84 89. Office hours for cancellations by phone are Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm). Please         ensure you obtain a name of the person you advise of absence together with the date and time of your call.

  5.        Any disagreement regarding the cancellation should be resolved at the time of the cancellation and not at the               time of  receiving any charges.

Height and Weight Restrictions

  1.        Height and weight restrictions apply to all flights in the following aircraft: MTO Sport, Magni M24, Calidus,                     Cavalon, and any other aircraft the company may use.

  2.        A fee will be charged to upgrade a voucher to the correct aircraft should the voucher holder exceed the                         height/weight limits specified.

Refunds

  1.         Refunds are available up to 48 hours after purchase.

  2.         A £20.00 administration fee will be charged to anyone wanting a refund.

Hire and Booking of Aircraft, and Charges

  1.        Hire and booking of aircraft is subject to availability.

  2.        Currency rules can be found in the Operations Manual. All pilots must read and sign the Operations Manual                 annually at a minimum.

  3.        Double slots should only be allocated where the pilot intends to fly for greater than two hours or if otherwise               agreed with their instructor.

  4.        In order to ensure a fair distribution of availability of aircraft and instructors between pilots/students, advance             bookings will be limited to 3 calendar months ahead.

  5.        North West Gyro reserves the right to limit the number of advance bookings that a pilot/student can make.

  6.        All the prices (unless stated otherwise) exclude V.A.T., landing and any other associated charges.

  7.        Flight training and hire packages are non-refundable, and subject to price increases levied on a pro-rata level.               This will be done as either a reduction of flying hours or an additional payment as and when the current price             changes. The current price for all flights and lessons is reviewed twice a year.

  8.        Flight training and hire packages can be subject to fuel surcharges.

  9.        Lessons & Hire time is charged directly from Hobbs reading which will be taken to the next rolling number if any         part of that number is visible.

  10.        Fuel uplifts made by customers away from base can be re-claimed. However, North West Gyro will only refund             the fuel at a cost equal to that of North West Gyro’s current price list. Any claim must be accompanied with a               receipt from where the fuel was purchased, indicating date purchased and aircraft registration number.

Miscellaneous

  1.         North West Gyro cannot accept responsibility for any cars parked on its car park.

  2.         North West Gyro cannot accept responsibility for any items/personal belongings left in the North West Gyro                  premises.

  3.         American Express (Amex) and Diners Cards are not accepted.

  4.         Bank transfers are acceptable, however, customers are responsible for all bank charges, any charges levied to              North West Gyro will be recharged to the customer.

  5.         For bank transfers please ensure that a clear reference is made with regards to Surname/Account Number.

  6.         All Flight Training Packages are to be paid for in full before the course start date to receive the discount built                into the package. Flights conducted before the package has been paid are subject to full non-discounted rates.

  7.         North West Gyro does not pass on personal details to any other third party. We will only use the information                that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR Regulations 2018)

  8.         Any pilot/student/passenger must abide by the rules and instructions given to them, by North West Gyro staff              regarding health and safety, and must not miss use any equipment in place for the use of Health and Safety                  (Health and Safety at work Act 1974)

  9.         All flights taken are subject to the above terms and conditions. All flights are also subjected to, as appropriate              EU Council Regulations 889/ 2002.

  10.         Any dissatisfaction with these terms and conditions must be brought to our attention within 7 days of purchase.
